BACK AT IT
FIRST RIDE IN 3 WEEKS
Alright, so it’s been way too long since I last rode – like, three weeks! Life got in the way, and before I knew it, I hadn’t touched my bike. But today, I finally hopped back on, and wow, I didn’t realize how much I missed it until now.
The moment I pushed off, it was like my legs remembered everything all at once. The rhythm of pedaling came back, and honestly, it felt amazing to just go. The wind in my face was refreshing, and the sound of the tires rolling over the pavement was music to my ears. It was like catching up with an old friend – you know, that feeling when you haven’t seen someone in forever, and then when you finally do, it’s like no time has passed at all? Yeah, that’s exactly what it felt like.
I took a few minutes to find my groove, and it was a little awkward at first, but once I got into the flow, it was pure bliss. I took a familiar route that I hadn’t traveled in ages. Everything felt new yet comforting at the same time. The sun was shining, and there was this beautiful energy in the air. I realized how much I had taken for granted in those weeks I spent off the bike.
I made a point to notice the little things I’d often overlook: the way the leaves fluttered in the wind, the sounds of birds chirping, and the beautiful views that popped up along the way. It reminded me that cycling isn’t just about the exercise or the destination; it’s about enjoying the journey and the world around me.
As I cruised along, I couldn’t help but think about why I had waited so long to ride again. Life sometimes gets busy, and it’s easy to let time slip by without realizing how much we need those little joys. But now that I’m back in the saddle, I can’t imagine letting that happen again. I made a promise to myself right then and there to make cycling a priority.
So, if you’re like me and have been putting off your rides, I say go for it! Whether it’s been a few days or a few weeks, get back out there. You might just rediscover that love for the ride that makes it all worth it.
Today was a solid reminder of how much cycling enriches my life. It’s not just a hobby; it’s a passion that fuels my soul. And honestly, I can’t wait for the next ride. Here’s to many more adventures on two wheels!
